THIS IS THE SAME LOCATION AS "THE CORBIN HOUSE." The Booking.com listing has moved.
A wonderful stay and cultural experience starting with pick up at the port, orientation to the BnB, and then a tour of the island. Incredibly kind and informative family who are proud to share their island of Goidhoo. The rooms are very nicely and creatively decorated, beds and bedding very comfortable; one of the brothers has made very interesting wooden art and functional art - lamps, benches, interior decorating; there are unique features everywhere. The beautiful courtyard garden is lovingly tended by the mother. All of the family take pride in the BnB and are willing to share their and the island's interesting history. The BnB is in the center of the village; Shy and Amen will take you in the electric buggy to either the snorkeling spot or the "bikini" beach at any time. There are 2 bicycles, nice to ride out to the bikini beach. They continue to build and improve the BnB which is almost like a homestay; they are there to help and inform but give you your space. The village is very friendly, and people make you feel welcome. Snorkeling is good at high tide especially at the bottom tip of the island off of Secret Beach. Swimming there is nice too although there is just one small spot of a beach, otherwise rough coral.
Nothing that I didn't "like"; another bicycle or 2 would be nice as the BnB grows. During my second stay none were available
